	Feb 06 2010 Feb 20 2010	Macro Class Macro-Close up photography class is set up in two classes. Session 1: Class time is technical information, equipment needed to do closeup and macro photography; demonstrations. This class is for beginners or intermediate. We will not be getting into advanced technical demos or material. Session 2: Lab class time is "hands on". Several work stations to create macro images using mini studios set up for groups of 1-3 per station. Bring your best camera and lens but it doesn’t have to be specifically a high priced macro lens. Payment is $145.00 at time of class.
	Mar 19 - 20 2010	The Classic Figure By Portfolio Review Only prior to registration to the class. The Figure Studies class is taught by Karl and Wendy Blomseth who have been studying and photographing the fine art nude for twenty years. We see the human form as the most beautiful subject in the world to photograph. And of course, we focus a great deal of emphasis on how to light and pose the subject. Friday night we will put figure study work into a historical context starting with painting and sculpture. Saturday we will combine both posing and lighting in the controlled environment of a studio. 2009 FERTILE MIND FOTO: FIGURE STUDIES class will be $275.00 including modeling fee if paid by March 1st. After March 1st payment is $345.00.
	May 27 - 31 2010	BLACK HILLS ODYSSEY AND WILD HORSES JOIN KARL AND WENDY BLOMSETH OF FERTILE MIND FOTO IN THE BEAUTIFUL SOUTHERN BLACK HILLS OF SOUTH DAKOTA for five (5) days of photographing people, places and things. Late spring in the Black Hills is a naturalists dream come true. The wildflowers, birds, animals and people should be in their prime. Karl will take you off the beaten paths that he has discovered through years of hunting, hiking, fishing, four-wheel driving, photographing and general exploration of the Black Hills. We are very excited that special arrangements have been made for our group to spend 3-4 hours photographing wild horses. You will start and end each day with photography lessons and discussions. You will be shown how you may increase your photographic knowledge and sharpen your photographic skills. Location shoots will vary from natural environments, to historical & architectural buildings, to available animals, to portraits of people with the opportunity to use everything from a macro lens to long zoom lens. This class is open to beginner and intermediate levels. Those participants with Single Lens Reflex cameras may benefit the most but, as with all of our classes, people with point-and-shoot cameras have really appreciated the improvements they have made with their pictures also. Typical workshop rates are $700 - $1,000. To be as economy-sensitive as possible, FERTILE MIND INTRO OFFER $495.00 (not incl. lodging and meals) if paid in advance by May 1st. After May 2nd payment due is $750.00.
	July 01 - 07 2010	DENVER – MOUNT EVANS, COLORADO WORKSHOP JOIN KARL AND WENDY BLOMSETH OF FERTILE MIND FOTO IN THE BEAUTIFUL Mountains of Colorado. July 1st – 2nd photograph in the Denver area and acclimate to the high altitude. July 3rd – 7th photograph the beautiful Mount Evans wilderness area which includes Bristol cone pines, alpine areas, arctic tundra and for able bodied photographers you may choose to sumit Mount Evans at 14,280 feet. Again, like South Dakota, we choose these locations because they are a naturalists dream come true. The wildflowers, birds, animals and people should be in their prime. 	Sept 10 - 12 2010	AUTUMN IN NORTHERN PINE COUNTY, MINNESOTA Spend September 10, 11, 12 in beautiful Northern Pine County. Stay at the Sturgeon Lake Motel. Friday night join Karl and Wendy for an outdoor BBQ and lessons on outdoor photography Saturday we are on location in Northern Pine county Sunday on location in Northern Pine County shooting people, places and things with the lovely fall color palette surrounding them with an emphasis on seeing the light. This class is open to beginner and intermediate levels.. AUTUMN class will be $245.00 (not incl. food and lodging) if paid by August 15th After August 15th payment is $395.00.
	Oct 01 - 07 2010	SOUTHWEST PHOTO WORKSHOP Southwest photo Workshop October 1st – 7th, 2010 This is a travel workshop and therefore, no base camp. We will be staying in mom and pop motels. We will be photographing sites such as the historic Saint James Hotel in Cimarron, Caliente springs where Geronimo, the Apache chief did his Vision Quest, the Narrow Gauge Railroad at Chalma.. Fertile Mind Foto will be photographing people, places and things of the Taos areas. You will start and end each day with photography lessons and discussions. You will be shown how you may increase your photographic knowledge and sharpen your photographic skills. Location shoots will vary from natural environments, to historical & architectural buildings, to available animals, to portraits of people with the opportunity to use everything from a macro lens to long zoom lens. This class is open to beginner and intermediate levels. Those participants with Single Lens Reflex cameras may benefit the most but, as with all of our classes, people with point-and-shoot cameras have really appreciated the improvements they have made with their pictures also. Payment is $695.00 (not incl. travel, lodging and meals) if paid in advance by Sept 1st. After Sept 1st payment due is $895.00.
